What is Corona Virus?

Coronaviruses are made up of a large family of viruses that can cause illness. Human Coronavirus illnesses are generally mild, such as the common cold.
The current virus originated from Wuhan, Hubei Province, China in December of 2019. This strain of Coronavirus has not previously been identified in humans.

How do I get Vaccinated Against Corona Virus?

Patient’s who are already registered at our practice and are over the age of 50 are entitled to a free Astrazeneca Vaccination.
Please call reception on 9493 8333 to book into one of our COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics.
Patients under 50years should be vaccinated with Pfizer. This vaccine is not currently available at our GP practice.
As soon as any information is available as to when stock is likely to be received it will be updated on the website.
If you are under 50 and wish to discuss your eligibility for Astrazeneca please make an appointment with your regular GP.
Please log on to https://rollup.wa.gov.au/ to register and book into one of the State Government Vaccination centres.
Please Note: Patients under the age of 60 that have already had their 1st dose of Astrazeneca MUST have a 2nd dose of Astrazeneca.
Pfizer and Astrazenca Vaccines are not interchangeable.

What are the Symptoms?

Symptoms can include: Fever, Cough, Shortness of Breath, Sore Throat and/or a Headache

Who is at Risk?

Some people have a greater risk than others. These groups of higher risk include: the Elderly, People with Chronic Illness (such as Diabetes), Smokers and People with with lung disease (such as COPD & Asthma) and People who are Immune Compromised.

What should I do?

  • stay at home if you are unwell
  • practise social distancing
  • avoid gatherings
  • wash your hands often with soap and water, or hand sanitiser
  • cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use your inner elbow
  • if you have arrived from interstate or overseas, you will need to self isolate for 14 days

How do I consult with my GP?

We are offering Telephone consultations with ALL of our General Practitioners. This service includes: Repeat Scripts, Renewing Referrals and General Consultation where examination is not required.  If you think our GP would benefit from photo’s relating to the consultation please send to: reception@srfp.com.au with patients Name, DOB and Address.
This is to protect you, your family and our staff.
